Biological importance

FAUNA

The place hosts a rich fauna that hosts some of the rarest animals you will ever see. A natterjack toad, the wintering waders, waterfowl and breeding birds from this area are making almost half the global population of these species as this is the perfect climate and area for them.

FLORA

Here you will remarkable saltmarsh, sand dunes, and rare shingle vegetation that you cannot find anywhere on the planet. Red fescue, sea milkwort, sea lavender, sea arrowgrass and lax-flowered plants are some of the examples that grow here and that is why we want to point out the importance of diverse flora system.

THREATS

The human interaction and lack of self-awareness for preservation of this area are the main problems that we need to solve. It has become evident that people do not care that much for this ecosystem that is unique and one of a kind, so we decided to take things into our hands.
